That’s why our family has been creating beautiful outdoor spaces in East Texas since 1900—and building top-of-the-line pools since 2004. Our team of experts brings a variety of specialties together, including design, construction, and landscaping of in-ground gunite pools, to make your backyard more than you dreamed.
Byron Utz
Owner
Byron Utz, owner, is the fourth generation in a family of landscape contractors. With a B.S. in horticulture from Texas A&M University, Byron utilizes his design skills to make our pools and outdoor projects unique and complete.
Alden Utz
Project Manager
Alden Utz, Byron’s son, has a B.S. in business management from Stephen F. Austin State University. He has served as Excel’s project manager since 2018.
